The Kuindzhi Museum was opened in Mariupol in 2010 in the Geocintov manor, a building of 1902 built in the Art Nouveau style.

The project was created before the anniversary — on March 21, 2022, the museum was destroyed as a result of a Russian air strike during the siege of Mariupol.

The work was also dedicated to the artist Arkhip Kuindzhi himself.
